The ATS Slimline Micro IFAK System is a two part, MOLLE compatible kit meant for mounting to PALS webbing. The system uses our new SAS (Snapless Attachment System) that does away with snaps. The pouch is closed by a pair of #8 YKK Zipper pulls on a #8 Mil Spec coil zipper. It is designed to open about half way to make access to the inner tray quick and easy. The pouch measures about 6 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 3 inches deep and is constructed of 500D Cordura fabric.
The inner tray is a custom, shorter version of the ATS Medical Insert. It features a red nylon loop at the top for easy removal from the outer pouch, and is held closed by a 1" Cordura nylon strap. This design accommodates a variety of load out widths. The inside of the tray features two Elastic loops on each side of the tray for organizing medical supplies. The tray is stiffened with HDPE making it rigid and easy to deploy on the ground next to a casualty.
As with everything that bears the ATS Tactical Gear tag, the SLMIFAKS is covered by our lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
I have gone through many medical pouches but I eventually settled on this one and I do not regret it at all. It is durable, a good fit for a belt mount, and also able to carry all the immediate medical gear that you will need for a boo-boo kit plus blowout products such as quick clot gauze.
Large enough for basic supplies, but tapered shape makes it feel smaller when worn on a chest rig or plate carrier. Quick access to stuff inside. Haven't had to use it in the real world, but works great in training!

I was very satisfied with the old IFAK pouch from ATS, but as I transitioned into OCP, I figured I'd give the new one a try. When I first unboxed it, I was worried that all of the issued IFAK items would not fit. They do, and without being overly cramped or tight. Only takes up two MOLLE channels on a vest or pack, and the weight of the Cordura/nylon is not the flimsy style you can find in other products. Very good purchase.
This IFAK System is perfect for your plate carrier, it fits perfectly on a cummerbund without hindering arm movement or weapon handling. The Red Cross on the pouch is removable by velcro. The feature that I enjoy the most is the quick removal system ATS has implemented there is an insert in the pouch and you can attach all of your medical items to and when it's time for the IFAK to be employed simply open the pouch and pull on the red handle. Not only does all of your equipment come out it doesn't fly everywhere it stays together. Great gear ATS wold recommend this to a friend.
