Product Overview

There is no error on your screen. This pouch is designed to mount horizontally. Retention is accomplished with a Kydex insert that pinches the magazine and holds it secure. It can be used on armor or first line belts like the ATS War Belt.  This also comes with a Hoop and Loop designed for our Enfilade belts system.

The HFMPT measures 5½ inches long by 3 inches wide and 1½ deep and attaches using the ATS L Strap, our MOLLE compatible mounting system. There is a 2 inch by 3 inch soft side Velcro panel on the face of the pouch for attaching American flag patches and the like. Due to it's 500D Cordura construction the pouch weighs 3.2 ounces. Like all ATS made gear, it's covered by a lifetime warranty against defects in manufacturing and workmanship.

    Very good pouch, good retention, slim profile keeps it out of the way of things like arms on the side of a plate carrier or a belt. Additionally I find it easy and quicker to draw a mag from the horizontal pouch than a vertical pouch when mounted on my side. Two options I would recommend: first is adding laser cut molle on the outside instead of velcro, or at least some shock cord for a tourniquet mount. It gives it more versatility. The second is having a two mag option to give a nice slim profile for two mags that can fit to the cummerbund of a plate carrier.

    Great pouch for gun belt

    I started running this pouch on my gun belt after I decided to move my IFAK to my plate carrier. It sits on my 6-o'clock and is thin enough not to be uncomfortable when sitting in a vehicle. Its great for reloading when prone, and the retention is excellent.

    Looks great feels even better. Just wish that I had gotten mine for a lefty, i've just pulled the tabs all the way through and dealt with it. However, it works and i won't fault a product for my oversight.

    The horizontal mag pouch holds a fully loaded magazine firm and is easily accessible. Like any piece of new gear to a kit; you have to practice...practice and practice. Worth the investment.
