While the ATS Upright Utility and the Zippered Utility Pouch have been very popular, our customers requested a small horizontal utility pouch to fit in those spaces that our existing utility pouches did not.
The pouch is about 7 inches wide, about five inches tall, and about 2.5 inches deep. It uses 4 channels and 4 rows of MOLLE space. The face has two rows of pattern-matched PALS webbing for attaching smaller pockets to it. The pouch is made in the USA and carries the same lifetime warranty that all ATS gear is covered by.
The pouch is very compact and light. It easily accomodates earmuffs or a case with ballistic glasses or just a pair of gloves or a bandana. They could be easily taken out. Probably would choose another pouch for very small items. Wide opening and softness might lead to some difficulties in keeping numerous small items inside.
The pouch sits very tightly on the belt (ATS War Belt, certainly) and makes a good neigbour to the SOF bleeder pouch on the back by heaving close size and profile.
This pouch is ideal for putting a flat IFAK on you war belt or vest.. It is just the right size to hold all you need in an IFAK. I really like the narrow size.
