Aegis was the name of Zeus's shield, making it an appropriate name for a plate carrier. Unlike Zeus's shield, the ATS Aegis plate carrier is a scalable system that allows for application to many different mission sets.

The Aegis V3 has all the same features as previous versions. Underside of the carrier is comprised of a thin closed cell foam pad under a layer of Aero Spacer wicking material. Adjustable two-inch wide shoulder straps, generous amounts of both Velcro and PALS MOLLE webbing on front and back carrier. Along with tree rows across the cummerbund. Two ITW/Nexus Quick Attach Surface Mount buckles to interface with the Slimline Modular Chest Harnesses.

This latest version allows for greater flexibility and options with regards to tactical communications.

Upgrades to the V3 are as follows:

Lengthened side plate pockets in the cummerbund, accept even a wider variety of hard and soft armor

Wire routing slots in both the front and back carrier plate pockets

Two wire routing slots in both cummerbund sides

One GP pouch in each cummerbund side, each capable of hold two spare M4 mags, IFAK items, smoke grenades, and other items.

GP pouches are also sized perfectly for military / police sized radios, secured in place with a built elastic retainer band

Cummerbund is reversible allowing GP pouches to be worn in the front or back

Pull tabs added to the front and back closer flaps as well as reinforced front and back plate pockets

ATS Aegis V3

ATS Tactical is my go to now for quality gear. The carrier fit the 10x12 issued plates and 6x6 side plates with ease. Customer support for any questions comments or concerns was also top notch. The GP pouches on the cummerbund made me choose this carrier over others and I like how you can swap them around whenever you want. The only thing I wish was different was the cummerbund being a little taller to fully hide the side plates, but ATS does sell side plate covers. Still, I wish for the pricepoint, the carrier included them or that the cummerbund was a bit taller. Other then that, I love the product!

The best plate carrier I’ve used!

When I got this plate carrier, I tried to set it up with out plates in it not thinking that cause the adjustments to be off a hair and threw a email the owner sent me his personal number and personally walked me threw the problem I was having long story short ATS has a customer in me forever. Just the fact that the owner gave me his number to get everything adjusted correctly tells me that customer service and personal safety are paramount to him and anytime someone wants a recommendation for a plate carrier I always recommend that they get the aegis V3 because mike lose and the ppl working for ATS Tactical will see to it everything fits as it should!

Best carrier around

This is without a doubt the best carrier I have ever used. I've gone through 3 other carriers in my life, and none of them have come close to the quality of this piece. The cummerbund molle is strong and sturdy, if you put your equipment on right it isn't going anywhere, the carry handle has velcro so it won't get snagged on any tree limbs, the shoulder straps feel great even for extended hours and are highly adjustable for broad or narrow shoulder individuals, the velcro in the front and back is sturdy to hold lightweight equipment like patches or even small pouches if that's your thing, and the back is compatible with molpe on backpacks, and what I'd say is the pièce de résistance is a very small bit of dead space at the top of the carrier where the armor sits, this little area gives your chin the space to look down without hitting your plate. These little things are what make ATS my go to company for gear.
