I expected the belt to be alot more bulky based on other types of riggers belts I've worn. First impressions were that it was extremely lightweight, but the stitching is precise and it feels very durable. The friction adapter on the buckle holds the belt tight, no slipping whatsoever. when buckled the buckle does not move at all. Overall a solidly built belt, stays in place and is lightweight to where I can barely tell I'm wearing a belt.
ATS Adams Belt
This variant of the ATS Cobra Rigger's Belt features a second soft loop sewn in the center of the back of the belt for securing safety lanyards.
The Adams Belt uses the excellent AustriAlpin Cobra buckle for both ease of use and incredible strength. The Cobra buckle is rated to 11kN, over 2470 pounds of force. That's strong. In order to make use of that strength, we built the belt from 1.72" Type 13 Mil Spec parachute- grade webbing stitching it together with 69 pound nylon thread.
The belt is reinforced with a 4 inch long "W" stitch and has a front facing soft loop for personal retention lanyard tie ins. To increase the strength even more, we added 5 lengthwise stitches, which also enhances the stiffness somewhat. The end of the belt has been rounded and sealed so the running end won't snag.
The Adams Belt is made in the USA and covered by the ATS Gear lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
Sizing lengths are measured from the center of the female side of the buckle, inside the belt to the middle of the male side of the buckle for a center to center measurement. Small: 28"-32" Med. 32"-36" Large: 36"-40" XL: 40"-44"
